Welcome to Ash Class
Our new inclusive classroom is based in the cabin with the calming and beautiful view of our woodland.
Our class teacher is Miss Barnes and we supported by 3 Teaching assistants: Mrs Hall, Miss Bexton and Miss Brooks.
On a Thursday, while Miss Barnes is completing her SENCo duties, Mr Medylcott and Miss Knight join the team to lead a Forest School session for the children in the morning. Mrs Edwards delivers an ICT session in the afternoon and the children have the opportunity to visit the library. Please ensure Library books are in children's book bangs on this day so they have the opportunity to change their books should they wish to do so.

Every Friday morning, after the Golden Book Assembly, Mrs Clinch joins the team to do some cooking with Ash Class, while Mrs Hall supports children with their sewing skills.
A member of staff will always be available to take quick messages at the door before and after school. You are also welcome to email any queries or messages to our class email: ash@woodstone.leics.sch.uk
PE
This half-term we are focussing on our balance and co-ordination in our gymnastics lessons. We do PE every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Please ensure children have their indoor PE kit in school on these days. This should include a white or navy t-shirt, navy or black shorts/leggings, socks and plimsoles. Long hair must be tied back and please ensure earrings are removed as we cannot assist with this.
Forest School
We would like children to come to school wearing their Forest School kit every Thursday morning. Please ensure children have plenty of layers and a warm, waterproof coat. On extra chilly days, please also provide children with a hat, scarf, gloves and some warm socks as we aim to go out in all weathers. Children will need to bring a bag with their school uniform in to get changed into before lunch. Children are welcome to keep their wellies at school which means they can wear their school shoes to and from school.
